Páramos de Legaris 2017

2017 marks the fourth vintage of this impressive cuvée of high-altitude Tinto Fino grapes from Moradillo de Roa, Peñafiel and Pesquera de Duero, an expression of what Jorge Bombín calls "an extreme red". Firmer  and more tannic than the 2016 release - often the case in 2017 - this is inky and profound, with some tobacco leaf top notes and the chalky freshness that's a feature of many páramo reds. 2022-29.
