L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"Still oaky and quite young, the new label 2011 Paraje de San Juan is pure Tempranillo sourced from a single plot of vines at 910 meters altitude at the Ribera del Duero plateau. The nose is balsamic with plenty of oak-derived aromas and a core of ripe black berries. The palate shows concentration and fine-grained tannins, with abundant balsamic and smoked flavors. The wine aged for two years in new French barriques and needs a little more time in bottle, but it should develop nicely. 3,500 bottles were produced".
