The benchmark for young unoaked Mencía from the valley, the 2022 Pago de Valdoneje is fruit-driven and juicy, with notes of licorice and wild berries and herbs. It has 13.5% alcohol and a silky palate with very fine tannins and clean flavors. 85,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2023.
