I tasted two vintages of most wines, including their Chardonnay. The 2019 Pago de Otazu Chardonnay has a smoky and spicy nose with freshness and tension, a classical barrel-fermented Chardonnay. It has 14% alcohol, a pH of 3.31 and six grams of acidity. It was bottled in May 2020. They are lowering the yields and working with cover crops in the vineyards. It fermented in new French oak barrels, where the wine matured with the lees for six months. 5,513 bottles were filled in May 2020.
