Big, dense, concentrated wine, with layers of spicy, sawdusty oak character and a core of vivid fruit: sun-warmed berries and green fig. A really appealing, youthful wine.
As I saw in the Izadi wines, I noticed better integration of the oak in the red 2018 Orben, as well as more varietal, place and vintage expression. It has medium ripeness and a medium-bodied palate with chalky tannins. This pure Tempranillo comes from small plots of old vines that fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in 50/50 new and second use oak barrels for 14 months. 33,699 bottles and some larger sizes produced. It was bottled in July 2020.
En 2005, la familia Antón, tras los exitosos proyectos de Finca Villacreces en la D.O. Ribera del Duero y de Bodegas Vetus en Toro, volvió a plantearse nuevas opciones en Rioja.

Lástima que tenga aún unos tatinos poco maduros. Con unos años en botella ha de ser un vino sobervio.
Vino muy bien hecho , cosa que se aprecia en todos los sentidos. Indudablemente es un vino de guarda que en 25 ó 26 estará magnífico.
