L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

Very aromatic, with a slew of cherry, red berry, marzipan, and floral honey. Excellent depth and some real complexity on the generous palate. Very long, chalky and lemony finish that is decisively dry. 100% Grand Cru, dominated by pinot noir with a small amount of chardonnay. Disgorged in May 2021. Drink or hold.

Falstaff:

Subtle notes of Red Delicious apple are joined by rounded notes of freshly baked yeast pastry. The palate is rounded and smooth with a lovely texture that is only enhanced by the fine, creamy mousse. That sense of rich autolysis lends some generosity but the freshness leaves this taut and mouthwatering despite the rounded body. Beautiful.
