"There is one more dry white produced in an original way, as the 2015 Mengoba Las Botas matured in Manzanilla "botas" from the winery Delgado Zuleta in Jerez, and therefore, there is some yeasty/flow influence. It was sourced from a vineyard in Cacabelos at 540 meters altitude (the same one used for the "Tinajas" and Godello Sobre Lías). After three months in oak foudre, part of the wine was transferred to two Sherry oak casks, where it matured for ten months, which provided clear notes of curry and yeasts and a special tastiness in the palate, reminiscent of the new unfortified whites produced in Jerez. Very original and tasty. The price might seem crazy, but it reflects the scarcity of this wine as only 920 bottles were filled in December 2016."
