L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"2016 was a long cycle year, and the Viura grapes for the 2016 Mártires were picked from October 12th. Fermentation and élevage is similar from year to year. This fermented with indigenous yeasts in new French oak barrels, where it matured for nine months, the first four of which the wine was with lees that were stirred twice per week. It's very fresh, with notes of lemongrass, very aromatic, exotic and expressive. The palate is explosive, with pungent flavors and sharp acidity, very lively, expressive and impressive. It's still quite young, and the spicy flavors from the barrels are a little marked on the finish. 2016 was also a higher-yielding harvest, which meant they produced a little more. 2,100 bottles were filled in July 2017."
