"The 2010 Lavia is a blend of Monastrell and 30% Syrah with notes of ripe fruit, some creaminess from the oak-aging, balsamic and Mediterranean aromas mixing with some black olive from the Syrah plus the elegant rusticity of the Monastrell with balsamic notes of thyme and rosemary. The palate is medium-bodied with polished, fine tannins and a chalky minerality toward the finish. This represents very good value. 40,000 bottles were produced".
