The Wine Advocate:

The new 2016 Venta las Vacas La Cuartilleja was produced from the grapes from a characterful plot in the village of Roa that they have produced separately since 2014. The wine is perfumed and fresh, but I find the oak too evident on the nose and on the palate. It's very ripe at 14.9% alcohol, and it has moderate acidity for the vintage. The palate reveals abundant tannins and, again, too much oak. Will it come into balance with more time in bottle? For fans of oaky Tempranillo. 3,909 bottles and 125 magnums produced. It was bottled in April 2019.
