No prizes for guessing that a wine called "barrica" is barrel-fermented, but the wood is very subtly done here, adding just a hint of vanilla spice. Textured and slightly creamy from six months ageing on lees, it has admirable line and length, greengage and waxed lemon fruit and a lively, tangy, mineral-etched palate.
