L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The Godello white 2016 La Salvación comes from a vineyard in Villafranca del Bierzo, a south-facing plot on clay soils. As the grapes from Valtuille were destroyed by mildew, there is only one 500-liter oak barrel. It's only 12.5% alcohol, so it's lighter than the 2015, with a sharp palate, nuanced and deep. It comes from very old Godello plants that seem to have delivered a wine full of energy. It has notes of toasted bread, a creamy touch, and notes of pollen and dry herbs. There are some 530 bottles of this.
