The Wine Advocate:

"The first Garnacha Tintorera from the Más Que Vinos team, called 2014 La Garnacha de la Madre, fermented with indigenous yeast in cement vats where it matured for one year before it was bottled. La Madre (the mother) is the name of an estate, a cold place that makes the wines ripen slowly. They planted a plot there with material from old vines and they reckon the massale selection they have is a different to the rest of Garnacha Tintorera, and it certainly feels very different. There is no rusticity in the aromas, on the contrary it feels very refined and perfumed, floral even, with violet aromas that made me think of a Touriga Nacional; it is high-pitched, with spicy aromas akin to pink pepper, curry, sandal wood and Moorish spices. It also has contained alcohol and great freshness, because even if the acidity per se is not high, the pH is clearly lower and the sensation is super fresh. This is a real surprise. A great surprise. 6,000 bottles produced and filled in January 2016".
