L'avis des experts
The name of this wine has changed, because the wine was not fortified and for a while they were outside the appellation so it could not be called Oloroso, so I tasted the 2017 Cortado La Barajuela, which is sold without the appellation of origin. 2017 was a warm year with finesse, the best for Cortado/Oloroso, the type Willy Pérez likes for Carrascal. The grapes were harvested late and the wine was unfortified. It has very clean acidity and a long, tasty and sharp finish. It has 16.6% alcohol, 8.33 grams of acidity and feels perfectly balanced. Amazingly intense and elegant. This is a wine to drink by the bottle rather than the glass. 900 bottles were filled in October 2020.
