"The red 2011 L'Avi Arrufi is a blend of 60% Cariñena from old vines, 30% Garnacha and 10% Syrah that matured for 16 months in French (90%) and American oak barrels. The fruit is black rather than red, reflecting a warm and ripe vintage, with plenty of aromas of Mediterranean herbs, esparto grass even, and a powerful palate where the alcohol feels balanced by the tannins and enough acidity. It ends dry. It should benefit from some bottle aging. 2,500 bottles were filled in December 2013".
