The Wine Advocate:

If the wines from Felipe Gutiérrez de la Vega are inspired by classical music, his daughter Violeta has also inherited a love form music, but the name of this wine hints at a more contemporary influence. This is pure Garnacha, locally known as Giró, from very old vines (80 years old) at 650 meters altitude from where you can see the sea. It fermented in open 300-liter oak barrels with a further two years in 225-liter French barriques. It has a very fresh nose of wild strawberries, lavender and dried roses with aromas of cured meat. The really elegant and light-footed palate is medium-bodied, with very elegant tannins plus a great depth and concentration of flavors. This is a worthy follower of the initial 2009 vintage; perhaps 2010 is fresher and more balanced. 2,050 bottles were filled.
