The Wine Advocate:

"The red version shares the name with the white. The 2013 Horizonte de Exopto (red) is a blend of Tempranillo with 10% Garnacha and some Graciano. It is from a cold vintage that made it difficult for the Graciano to ripen properly. The grapes fermented together with indigenous yeasts and the wine matured in barrels, for the first time one-third in 600-liter demi-muids, which Puyaubert calls "the great discovery, resulting in very balanced wines, elegant and showing the character and personality of the different plots." The result is indeed quite impressive. This is a wine with seamlessly integrated oak and fruit that has a silky texture and great balance. It shows some herbal notes–true to the vintage–and is tasty, subtle and long. A great showing for a wine that should age harmoniously and that is better than the average for the vintage. 12,000 bottles".
