L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

"The 2009 Colección Añadas Fino en Rama is part of a collection of single harvest wines bottled by Williams & Humbert, an oddity in Jerez, as most of the wines there are aged following the dynamic soleras and criaderas system of blending multiple vintages. 2009 was a warm, ripe vintage and this pure Palomino, classified as Fino in 2016 when it was bottled directly from the butts, what is called 'en rama'. The single harvest biological wines always feel older than the solera ones, and they take on a slightly more oxidative character, so there are notes of nuts intermixed with the classical chalk, esparto grass and brine notes. The palate is bone dry, fine, long rather than wide, persistent and tasty".
