This second vintage of their barrel-fermented and aged Airén is a lot more successful. The 2020 Finca Villalobillos Airén Pie Franco Fermentado en Barrica is a lot more harmonious than the 2019, the oak is much better integrated and the wine is more balanced. It's creamy and rich but with very good freshness. It has varietal character (not very showy). 1,600 bottles were filled in November 2021. - Luis Guitiérrez.
