Finca Torrea uses fruit from south-east facing slopes in Elciego, not too far from this destination winery. Blending Tempranillo with 5% Graciano, it sees only French wood and is a more modern style of Rioja. Scented, if a little farmyardy, with stylish oak, fine tannins, some chalky freshness, impressive underlying structure and layered berry fruit. 2024-32
