Finca Genoveva Caíño 2019

There is one extra step of complexity and intensity in the 2019 Finca Genoveva Caíño, a characterful and very personal Atlantic red, a cool-climate marine wine with a mossy undertone and tons of cracked peppercorns, decayed rose petals and herbs. It's complex and elegant, attractive and tasty. The palate is medium-bodied, the tannins fine-grained and denoting the granite texture. I've been in love with this wine for years, and it keeps getting better and better. This was produced like the years before. 2,000 bottles were filled from a six-year-old 1,500-liter oak foudre where it matured for one year. It was bottled in March 2021.
