The 2020 Crozes-Hermitage Calendes is also forward and supple, with medium to full-bodied aromas and flavors of cassis and darker fruits as well notes of new leather and damp earth. I like its tannins, and this should be a terrific value. This cuvée comes from a mix of terroirs, with about 10% coming from just behind the village of Crozes.
Tasted as a tank sample, the 2020 Crozes Hermitage Les Calendes delivers more red-toned fruit and suppler tannins than the dark, muscular 2019 version. Red raspberries and cherries appear on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate finishes crisp, tangy and taut.
La bodega fue fundada por Jean Örens Ferraton en 1946 en el corazón de Tain l’Hermitage. En 1998 convirtieron sus viñedos a biodinámica y lanzaron su colección de Selecciones Parcelarias.

Cumplió las expectativas, con carácter y volumen, se encuentran las violetas de la Syrah y el marcado mineral. Mejorara en un par de años.
