Eulogio Pomares Maceración con Pieles 2016

"The copper-colored 2015 Maceración con Pieles is named after the skin-contact process that drives the character of this Albariño. The élevage is in an old acacia vat, which might have some effect in the floral character of the wine. I found that the Albariño is able to keep coming through and make the process less dominant than it is in the majority of cases, when these wines tend to look too much the same. This is a wine of gastronomical interest, and I'm intrigued about how these wines are going to age. I believe this one is possibly going to evolve nicely. Only time will tell. 600 bottles were filled in October 2016."
