The Wine Advocate:
The 2021 El Valao is perfumed, with some meaty notes reminiscent of a red from the Northern Rhône, smoky and floral. It's medium-bodied, with fine tannins, contained ripeness and 13.5% alcohol. It comes from an ancient plot and fermented in stainless steel and matured in 225-liter oak barrels for six to seven months. 4,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2023.
