The Wine Advocate:

The 2017 El Origen de Prieto Pariente was the wine they had in mind when they started the project to showcase the elegant rusticity of their zone. In this case, it's a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha sold as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León, as they use grapes from different zones in the province of Valladolid, Mucientes and Pedrosa del Rey. The Tempranillo went through malolactic in 225-liter oak barrels and the Garnacha in 500-liter ones, and each wine matured in those containers for 17 months. It's modern, clean and generous in ripeness and oak but without excess. It has a soft mouthfeel and moderate acidity. 2,410 bottles and 36 magnums produced. It was bottled in July 2019.
