El Hombre Bala 2014

"The entry-level Garnacha red produced by Comando G for Uvas Felices is the 2014 El Hombre Bala. It is produced with grapes from different plots of the village of Cadalso de los Vidrios, a village in the province of Madrid bordering Ávila and Toledo, part of the Gredos Mountains, plus a new vineyard in the village of Cenicientos. This is all from purchased grapes from the same suppliers, who are working their vineyards in an organic way—some of them are even worked by horse. This is clearly the ripest of the three Gredos offerings from Uvas Felices. It's ripe, but there's also something peppery, and the palate is juicy, with some dusty tannins, showing subdued granite minerality and texture. 34,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2015".
