L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

A precise, polished Ribera del Duero that delivers not only structure but also refinement with delineated aromas and flavors. Dusty cocoa powder and dark spices are knit to the red and blue berries. Firm and juicy on the palate with polished tannins and a juicy, long finish. Already approachable now, but will hold very well in the next eight years. Real deal.

Tim Atkin:

Spread across the terraces around the bodega in Peñafiel at altitudes ranging between 785 and 840 metres, El Anejón combines three different soil types in a single wine. Pairing Tinto Fino with 3% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, with maturation in 50% new 600-litre barrels, it's a ripe, strapping, full-flavoured style that carries its wood and alcohol lightly. Rich and perfumed, with garrigue and sweet spices aromas and fig and blackberry fruit. 2025-32
