Domaine de la Vougeraie Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2019

There are two parcels here; one of nearly a hectare resulting from the purchase of l'Héritier Guyot near the entrance to the château, the other is from Pierre Ponnelle at the bottom of the slope. Despite the difference in maturity of the two parcels, the result is perfumed and very elegant, if lacking a bit of tension and grip. - Charles Curtis MW

Fruit vif et matière nerveuse dans le Clos de Vougeot, vin direct, très droit et tendu, qui va à l’essentiel. Epuré, il exprime une noble austérité.
