The glass-staining 2016 Ventoux Rouge, a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre, boasts knockout aromas of black cherries and blueberries. It's a medium to full-bodied wine, creamy-supple in texture even at this embryonic stage, with hints of dried herbs and baking spices adding complexity. If this quality is reflected in the bottle it should be a screaming value.
