L'avis des experts

Tim Atkin:

Not everyone made good wines in 2017, a vintage which threw various curve balls at Rioja, not least the April frost, but María Larrea certainly did. This blend of Tempranillo with 15% Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha is youthful vigorous and focused, with fine oak, a green
undertone, lots of dark berry fruit and chalky minerality. 2025-35

James Suckling:

A firm, tannic red with blackberry and walnut character on both the nose and palate. It’s full-bodied and chewy with a long, flavorful finish. Needs bottle age to soften. Try after 2022.
