Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2011
Description

Exquisite candied lemon and the first stirrings of blossom honey play on the nose before green apple and freshly toasted white bread appear. The body is slender but concentrated, a shimmering, silvery thread of freshness is woven throughout. The bubbles are creamy and smooth, An intriguing aftertaste of liquorice and subtle chalkiness pervade the zesty, smooth finish. A citric highway of beauty.
Beautiful bright pale yellow with greenish tints. After swirling, the nose opens up to toasted, mineral notes with a touch of almond. Full attack with refined bubbles supported by pronounced exuberance. A nervy Champagne, still in its infancy.
