Chivite Finca de Villatuerta Syrah 2012

"The 2012 Finca de Villatuerta Syrah-Garnacha seems to be an evolution of the pure Syrah, which seems to have provided an extra spark in the nose and palate. It fermented in 20,000-liter stainless steel vats and matured in French barriques for 14 months. The oak is also very nicely integrated and the profile is quite fruit-driven, with some subtle minerality in the texture provided by the chalky tannins. This is a commercial, approachable red blend that makes a lot of sense. 30,000 bottles produced".
