Botijo Blanco 2017

The search for a more citrus and floral white has delivered the 2017 Botijo Blanco, a fresh, elegant and dry unoaked Garnacha Blanca from six hectares of dry farmed vines. It was bottled after three months in concrete, with lees contact. They wanted a Garnacha Blanca that was not heavy or oxidative, looking more for the citrus side, harvesting earlier and also using indigenous yeasts. This has some fine tannins from a short skin contact, which also gives more complexity and a touch of bitterness. It's a delicious and highly drinkable white. 21,200 bottles produced. This is their generic, regional wine and was bottled in May 2018.
