L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The 2011 Edición Limitada is ripe and juicy, open and accessible. This is produced as a blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Merlot from vineyards in Peñaranda de Duero at 950 meters altitude surrounded by forests. After one year in oak barrels the wine rested in bottle for a further 30 months before being released. Despite the warm growing season of 2011, the wine does not show any excess of ripeness. Yes, the fruit is black and properly ripe with plenty of earthy tones and nicely integrated oak. The palate is full-bodied, powerful and balanced, with very polished tannins and a soft, velvety texture. A lush Ribera. 11,000 bottles.
