L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The one varietal Garnacha, the 2015 Colección Nº 4 Garnacha de La Dehesa is a single-vineyard red from a plot planted in 1900 on sandy soils. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak vats and matured in new French oak barrels, including malolactic, for 18 months. This is more like a Priorat that a Garnacha from Gredos; it's dark, powerful, ripe and concentrated, with aromas of shoe polish and licorice. The palate is full-bodied, and the wine is powerful and tannic. 3,000 bottles were filled in May 2017. - Luis Gutiérrez.

Tim Atkin:

Highly unusual for a wine from San Vicente, this is made entirely with Garnacha, grown at 700 metres in Benjamín Romeo's highest parcel, La Dehesa de Pangua. Rich, dense and smooth, with heady alcohol, 100% new wood and flavours of plum, damson and fennel. 2020-2
