L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The serious and nuanced 2018 Asadoira was produced with fruit from 3.83 hectares on schist soils in the place of the same name on the slopes of the Sil Valley in Valdeorras. It's lower in alcohol and has more freshness than the other wines from the house. It has some leesy aromas, faintly smoky, varietal and nuanced, complex and elegant. The palate is solid, balanced and harmonious, medium-bodied with good freshness and a dry finish, where the signature bitter touch of the variety makes a clear appearance. This is the second vintage and a great addition to the Valdesil portfolio. It was vinified and matured in stainless steel and has a more austere profile than the Pezas da Portela. It seems like 2018 was a very good year here... 1,000 bottles were filled in February 2020.
