L'avis des experts
I also tasted the more continental red 2018 Alagú Garnacha Tintorera, which seems livelier and fresher than the 2017 I tasted next to it. There are no significant differences in vinification or élevage—70% full clusters, native yeast and aging in 225-liter oak barrels—so the wines show the differences in the conditions of the year. It has aromas that made me think of a Syrah, smoky and meaty, with some black olives but with a Mediterranean twist of aromatic herbs and spices. It has power and a certain rusticity, but it's balanced and characterful. The flavors are pungent, and it has a juicy texture with marked chalkiness. 5,100 bottles and 260 magnums produced. It was bottled in July 2020.
