Abel Mendoza Guardaviñas 2015

"I really liked the new vintage of the Tempranillo without added sulfur, the 2015 Guardaviñas from San Vicente de la Sonsierra, which surprised me with a clean and focused nose and a lively palate. This was produced with as little intervention as possible, with grapes sourced from their 0.56-hectare El Bardallo vineyard that is biodynamically farmed. Only 40% of the wine was put in barrel, where it underwent malolactic fermentation and 11 months of aging. It just feels very fresh, delicious and alive. 2,103 bottles were filled in September 2016".
