L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

They think the 2016 Petit Verdot is the gentler vintage of this wine in recent times, and I agree. The long cycle allowed the grape to ripen fully, but like I saw with the Cabernet Sauvignon, that seems to have turned the wine creamier and sleeker with a luxurious texture and less varietal character. It's polished and tasty, with ripe fruit and plenty of spice. The palate is polished, with a full body and abundant dusty tannins. It needs powerful food. 1,044 bottles were filled in May 2018.

James Suckling:

Beautiful petit verdot with blackberry, black-pepper and slate aromas and flavors that follow through to a chewy palate with polished tannins and a focused finish. Give this time to soften and come together. Try after 2023.
