James Suckling:

A very fruity red with lots of ripe-berry, cherry and light vanilla character. Some almond, too. It’s full-bodied, chewy and flavorful. Best after 2020.

Tim Atkin:

The Tempranillo vineyard is a little lower than the white grape plantings at El Coto's Rioja Oriental estate, but they are still located at a pretty remote 760 metres. Aged in new French oak, this is a smooth, textured, concentrated red with lots of colour and dark berry intensity freshened by acidity. 2022-26.
