The Wine Advocate:

"I tasted one more white, the 2014 Finca la Emperatriz Viura Cepas Viejas, which showed much better, a selection from older vines from a specific plot planted some 68 years ago; it fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in new and used barriques for nine months. It does have some spicy and smoky aromas, but in general the oak is nicely integrated, clean and subtle, with white flower and fruit aromas, as well as a silky palate with good volume and acidity. This could very well be the best white produced at La Emperatriz so far. 6,000 bottles."
