Viña de Martín Os Pasás 2018

The white that indicates the quality of the vintage to me is the Os Pasás, and the 2018 Viña de Martín Os Pasás shows beautifully early on, with the textbook overall character of moss and river stones with a touch of honey and pollen but always with austerity and restraint. This is a white that can be enjoyed young, but it gets such complexity and depth with five years in bottle that it's almost a shame to pull the cork when young. The wines are never cold stabilized and often show crystals on the cork, to me a sign of purity and lack of manipulation. 11,600 bottles and 200 magnums produced. It was bottled in August 2019.
