L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

The white 2016 Vagüera is pure Doña Blanca from a north-facing plot planted at 950 meters in altitude, surrounded by forest on red clay. It has an expressive and open nose of peach, apricot and cantaloupe melon; it's really exuberant, aromatic and showy, a completely different expression than the other Doña Blanca bottling he does from the Arribes del Duero zone (the Las Vidres). This fermented in barrel and then matured in foudre, concrete egg and amphorae for some 12 months. It's both mineral and powerful, quite different from the rest of the wines here, much more exuberant. There is very good minerality on the palate that gives it a more austere twist. 1,710 bottles were filled in January 2018.
