L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

This wine comes from Frescobaldi's new estate in Gaiole in Chianti. The 2015 Chianti Classico is a wine with a firm backbone and bright acidity (the vines are planted over 550 meters above sea level, and you taste lots of crispness as a result). This Chianti Classico is composed of 90% Sangiovese and other red grapes, including Merlot, Colorino, Canaiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Beyond the bright cherry and wild berry aromas are elegant mineral tones of granite and flint. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged in new and neutral oak. - Monica Larner.

Suckling:

This shows real freshness and character with crushed stones, blackberry pie, vanilla and tobacco in addition to the lemon undertones. The palate shows lots of depth but also really excellent balance. Full body, structured tannins and acidity that really drives this through to the chewy finish. Drink in 2020.
