The Wine Advocate:

The 2018 Tanuki Bob is 90% Mantonegro with 10% Syrah, a Mediterranean red from organically farmed vines. The destemmed but uncrushed grapes fermented with indigenous yeasts in 4,000-liter oak foudres, where the wine matured for nine months, followed by another nine months in stainless steel. This is super aromatic, expressive and showy, with a profile that reminded me more of the Gallinas & Focas than the other reds, showing the roundness and juiciness of Mantonegro, which is a softer wine than Callet. It's showy, open and juicy, very easy to drink but with the seriousness of the chalky tannins. This is also a collaboration with the Amadip Esment foundation. 6,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2020.
