The Wine Advocate:

The Mediterranean red blend 2015 Tanuki Bob is mainly Manto Negro with some 10% Syrah from younger and older vines. The uncrushed grapes go through a semi-carbonic maceration and a 20- to 25-day maceration in 4,000-liter oak foudres. The wine was kept in the foudres for nine months, followed by a further nine months in stainless steel before it's bottled. This is from one single red-soil plot with lots of stones (it looks like Châteauneuf) and produced in a light and approachable style, with notes of licorice and red berries, from a "good" average vintage, which resulted in nicely balanced wines. The palate is light to medium-bodied, with super fine tannins, nicely textured and with a tasty, mineral finish. This is the small brother of Gallinas y Focas. 8,500 bottles were filled in July 2017.
