L'avis des experts

The Wine Advocate:

Unfortunately, the Garnacha 2016 Suzzane is too oaky for my taste; if you're tolerant to new oak, you'll probably like it better than me. It has a modern and ripe profile and is clean and juicy, with a luxurious, voluptuous texture, a little creamy. The grapes from three hectares of extremely old Garnacha in the village of Cárdenas fermented with indigenous yeasts in a combination of concrete vats, 500-liter oak barrels and oak vats and matured in 500-liter barriques and foudres for 12 months. It should probably age well and absorb the oak in bottle. 4,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2017. - Luis Gutiérrez.

Tim Atkin:

Named after the Leonard Cohen song of the same name, this might not make you want to wear "rags and feathers from Salvation Army counters", but it will certainly inspire your palate. Made with 100-year-old Grenache from Cárdenas, it's a deeply coloured, low-sulphur style that's juicy, sappy and focused with very understated wood.
