The Wine Advocate:

The 2014 Sálvora is also Albariño, in this case from a very old vineyard, Finca O Torno, planted over a century ago with un-grafted vines on fragmented granite, sand and chalk soils that was initially used for Leirana from Forjas del Salnés. It fermented in oak barrels where it matured for one year and didn't go through malolactic. The nose shows sharp, mineral and austere, a little closed and backward, serious, and it just made me think of a lean, sharp and mineral palate, which is exactly what I found; it has an electric sensation combining the cold, vertical austerity of the granite and the sapidity of the limestone. I bet this will evolve magnificently in bottle. 2,000 bottles produced.
