The Wine Advocate:

The single-vineyard 2017 Renvivas contains a mixture of Rufete and Rufete Blanco grapes from a 0.45-hectare plot in the village of Miranda del Castañar. The vines were planted back in 1930 and were never treated with any chemicals. The soils are rich in slate, and in 2017 the grapes were harvested at the end of August. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and finished fermentation without skins in used 300-liter French oak barrels, where the wine matured for ten months. This is a super aromatic and perfumed expression of Rufete—floral, subtle, elegant, layered and very impressive. It has a medium-bodied palate with super fine, velvety tannins and great freshness and balance. There is incredible elegance and finesse here. It has to be one of the finest wines wines I've tried from Salamanca. In this first vintage, some of these wines were almost experimental, so there is some room to grow in the future for most of them. Some 400 bottles produced.
