2012 was a hot dry year in Rioja, but there's no sign of it in this serious, concentrated but well-balanced cuvée of Tempranillo with 5% each of Graciano and white grapes. The new wood, which can be assertive when the wine is young, has integrated well with time. Plush black fruit flavours are complemented by fresh tobacco and vanilla notes, savoury tannins and underlying acidity. 2020-28
